Michelle Obama Posts Photos of Puppies
After spending some luxurious time vacationing in Palm Springs and the Virgin Islands, what are Barack and Michelle Obama up to these days? The former first couple continues to be well-loved and missed by Americans especially with controversies hounding the new Trump administration.
Which is why the internet became excited when the reclusive Michelle uploaded a photo of her adorable pups Bo and Sunny stepping out for a walk.
"Look who has a spring in their step! Celebrate the #FirstDayOfSpring by grabbing a friend, heading outside, and getting moving," read the caption of the post which received 69,995 likes and was re-tweeted 8,608 times.
The Obamas continue to spend their post-White House existence in Washington, D.C. The couple is looking at leasing an 8,200-square-foot mansion in the Kalorama neighborhood which features nine bedrooms and a gated courtyard for eight to 10 vehicles until younger daughter Sasha finishes high school.
But as AFP quipped, "Former presidents rarely remain in Washington after living and working in the US capital." It cited Jimmy Carter who went back to Georgia and Ronald Reagan who headed home to California. Barack hasn't revealed his plans except to say that his family will be his priority.
There is speculation the family could return to Chicago where Barack's political career first began.
"All the strands of my life came together and I really became a man when I moved to Chicago," he said last year. "That's where I met my wife. That's where my children were born."
Whatever their decision would be, the Obamas seem to be taking their time. The couple has secured book deals expected to reach up to $60 million, the most lucrative contract ever for a post-presidential memoir. The family plans to donate part of their advances to the Obama Foundation.
