Michelle Williams Reveals Why She Turned Down Family Reality TV Show

Michelle Williams, the 33-year-old singer formerly of Destiny's Child, is explaining why she decided not to go through with doing a reality television show with her family.

"I didn't want to put my family in the hot seat because they're not performers. I didn't want them to deal with what I deal with," she told CocoaFab.com recently. "I just wasn't comfortable so I had to follow that. I think I found a show that I was comfortable doing."

Williams insists that filming reality television is no easy task.

"I remember talking to Erica Campbell from Mary Mary about how it was when they decided to do a show and it's hard work. You're filming five or six days a week. It takes a week to do one episode. If you have eight episodes, that's two months," she told CocoaFab.com. "I'm not mad at people who are getting paid a million bucks per episode because it's a lot of work. I'm not mad at the Kardashians or The Real Housewives of Atlanta or none of them."

The news comes months after Williams announced that she would be filming a show with her family called "My Sister's Keeper." Last year she opened up about some apprehension that she has felt in moving forward with the project.

"I just want it to be right with me and my sisters. I don't want it to – of course we have to show conflict for ratings and drama but I don't want it to turn into a train-wreck," she told thejasminebrand.com last year. "Because at the end of the day, I still have a life and career to have after this and I just want it to be right. I know that it will but it's just about the right network at the right time."
