Michelle Williams Speaks Out Against People Making Fun Of Others

Michelle Williams is speaking out against people who make fun of others.

Williams, the 33-year-old former Destiny's child member, has had her share of embarrassing moments but has not shied away from embracing them. Now, she is speaking out about those who typically point out the flaws of others.

"Those that aren't living their dream or purpose typically poke fun or hate those that are! Smh," Williams tweeted.

While it is unclear who or what prompted Williams' tweet, she has been on the receiving end of peoples' jesting. Last month some people found time to poke fun of Williams, making her a trending topic on the social media network Twitter when people created the phrase "#poormichelle."

Along with the hashtag came a plethora of people who remembered moments when group members Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland seemed to treat Williams in an inferior manner.

However, Williams previously told TIME how she feels about people's rude comments about her.

"Regardless of what people do or say about me, I am always blessed," she told TIME. "The fact that people sit and search for this stuff, I am on your mind daily."

In fact, Williams insists she is thankful for the negativity she has been receiving.

"So I thank you so much for making me relevant every single day. I have you all to thank for that. Thank you so much," she said. "My accounts are bigger because of you. Shoes. Clothes. Houses. Cars. Blessings. Thank you!"

After a number of people uploaded images of Williams and her former group members in different scenarios with the intention of joking about the singer earlier this month, she took the jokes in stride.

"#PoorMichelle that's not what my accountant said," the Christian singer previously tweeted. "Y'all be blessed now."
