Microsoft Lumia 950 & 950 XL update: Price tag leaks revealed, spec rumors claim 30MP rear camera
Microsoft is not backing down despite the tough competition in the mobile market. In fact, reports are saying that they are set to unveil their latest devices dubbed as the Lumia 950 and its bigger variant Lumia 950 XL. According to Value Walk, Microsoft have scheduled an event in New York on Oct. 6, which is said to be the day the new phone and any other new Microsoft equipment will be likely introduced to the public. And while many are making hunches on how much the two flagship smartphones would cost, a Spanish website is reported to have leaked some pricing details.
As said in Phone Arena, information leaked saying that Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is expected to be launched in France with a price tag that is somewhat the same price with the entry-level iPhone 6s. It is also said that it will come with €200 or about $223 worth of accessories bundled with the device. However, a Spanish retailer claimed that the price of the dual-SIM Lumia 950 is €659 and the Lumia 950 XL will cost €749. That's roughly equivalent to $736 and $836 respectively. It didn't also mention about any accessories that will come with the Windows 10 Mobile device.
At this point, there is no true answer yet on whether these leaked information about the price tags are genuine or fake. But whatever price it may come, interested consumers can take note of the rumored specs and make an appraisal on which price best matches it. Tech Times detailed that the two new smartphones share several specifications. Like for instance, both devices will have 3GB of RAM, quad-HD resolution display and 30-megapixel rear camera with PureView technology and 5-megapixel front camera. The smaller variant will sport a 5.2-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 processor while the larger variant will have a 5.7-inch display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. It will also have an iris scanner.
