Microsoft Office 2016 will arrive with updates and new features

Good news await all Microsoft Office users as the latest version of the compatibility pack is going to be released a few days from now. According to Computer World, Microsoft will launch the final version of the Office 2016 desktop suite on Sept. 22. Users of the operating system are excited to see and use what the new version has in store for them.

Compared to the previous versions, Microsoft 2016 will be better especially since improvements have been made to existing features. New tools have also been added to enhance the business owners' experience. In a report by Yibada, the upgrade will contain the "Current Branch for Business." This new feature aims to deliver monthly security for its customers and brings at least three major updates per year, although this is reported to be available by 2016. There will also be a feature that allows a user to look for apps such as adding images through the use of the "Tell Me" search tool. By simply typing "add picture," the search tool will perform exactly what the task actually does.

Apart from those new features, the Microsoft Office 2016 will have the ability of syncing OneDrive attachments in Outlook. It can also do the same with multiple devices that are supported. It will have the capability of sending unimportant emails into a box called as Clutter while the ability to organize which emails goes to the clutter and which are not remains as is. Meanwhile, Microsoft Word will now have an Insights function wherein users can search for background information on selected text from the web.

In a blog post by Julia White, general manager of Office 365 Technical Product Management, she announced that those who have a volume licensing agreement in place can download Office 2016 from the Volume Licensing Service center beginning Oct. 1. With regards to the cost, there are no details yet but one thing is for sure—it's not for free just like the Windows 10 update.
