Microsoft Surface News: Price Slash Until March
Microsoft seems to be offering a sort of compensation for those who have grown impatient awaiting the release of its Surface 5 as the company tries to bait in would-be customers by offering as much as a $200 discount on its Surface products. The company launched the discounts on its products in line with its celebration of President's Day last week and the promo period end dates vary depending on the product.
The Surface Pro 4 started its temporary selling price with a $100 dollar price slash during the "President's Day" last week and will continue to do so until Feb. 27. According to Win Beta, during the first day of the discount, Microsoft offered an additional perk to the public by giving away a Surface Dock for free to those who purchased the Surface Pro 4.
While the promo offering a free Surface dock worth $200 was only a one-day deal, Microsoft is also luring the public with its discounted promo rate for the Surface Pro 3, Microsoft Band, and other Surface 3 devices.
Microsoft's promo on its Surface 3 offers a $100 discount, regardless of what variant it may be. The originally-priced $599 Wi-Fi-only variant can now be purchased at $499 only, and its Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity variant is now available for $599 only after the $100 price slash. While the Surface 3 variants don't come with a free Surface Dock, those interested in purchasing the accessory can also get an additional $30 discount, reported by Windows Central.
Surface Dock is an accessory device that enables the Surface tablet to transform into a desktop. It comes with multiple ports, such as LAN port, four USB 3.0 ports, two mini display ports, and an audio jack. For people using the Surface Pro 4, the device can be connected to Surface Dock with the use of a magnetic cable.
The promo on Surface 3 runs until March 31 only.
Apart from the promo on its Surface products, Microsoft also offered a good deal to those planning to purchase Microsoft Band 2. The wearable technology aimed at accompanying Window Phones was also sold at a discounted rate of $150. The Band 2 is now back to carrying a $200 price tag after the promo ended last Feb. 20.
