Microsoft Surface Phone Delayed for Game-Changing New Feature
The Microsoft Surface Phone will not arrive until 2019 and the Redmond giant has a good reason for having users wait a couple more years for its flagship.
According to DrWindows, Microsoft is still knee-deep in the development of the device, and is in fact, doing its best to perfect the key feature that will serve as its selling point — running Win32 applications.
One of the shortcomings of the otherwise excellent Windows phone heavyweight HP Elite X3 is its inability to run desktop apps on the Windows 10.

The smartphone received acclaim, but the lack of the feature turned many fans off the device. Others tried to find a workaround, but they do not expect to rely on this.
Microsoft is believed to make an official Win32 app support for Windows 10, which they are looking to debut in the Microsoft Surface Phone.
The abovementioned German publication reports that the Microsoft Surface Phone is being designed to function as a pocket-sized laptop. Making that happen, however, is proving to be a challenge for the company and a time-consuming one at that.
Because of this, the Redmond tech titan, while presently working away on the Microsoft Surface Phone, still has a long way to go before they complete the development.
The sources that spoke to DrWindows revealed that the company needs more time to work on the smartphone, which is why it is not coming until 2019.
Microsoft is not leaving users empty-handed because the company is working on a Windows 10 device that will reportedly see the light of day later this year.
It is being reported that the Microsoft will come out with a Lumia handset. However, it is to be noted that the company has abandoned the line after failing to take off in the callous mobile war.
There were reports in the past that Microsoft is working with HP for the follow-up of the Elite X3 although nothing is set in stone yet.
