Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Latest Rumors Point to Early October Release
The latest rumors about Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 point to an October release, which will make the event look like a response to Apple's launching of the iPad Pro.
If the latest rumors are to be believed, Microsoft will release its Surface Pro 4 on Oct. 6. Among the most outrageous yet most interesting rumors about the upcoming device is the one about its 1 TB of internal storage, according to Neuro Gadget.
Based on the leaked specs of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, the device will run on either an Intel Core M Broadwell CPU or the latest Skylake processor. It will also reportedly have between 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM, but a 16 GB variant will also be released, the report details.
As for the internal storage of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, reports say it will have 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB variants. But there are also talks about the 2-in-1 device having 1 TB of internal storage.
While the release date of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is still unconfirmed, the latest rumors say the tech giant is planning an event next week where the new device is expected to be unveiled. Should the Skylake chipset push through, the new device will be thinner, lighter, and more powerful than its predecessor, the report relays.
Consumers may be able to pick an option between the 12-inch and 14-inch variants of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The 2-in-1 device, which will reportedly use the Windows 10 OS, is touted to be a gadget superior to the recently released Apple iPad Pro, Tech Gadget Central reports.
If the rumors prove to be true, then Microsoft fans will be able to lay their eyes on the Surface Pro 4 next week. Since the company has not talked about the product, fans will have to wait until Oct. 6 or until the device is officially launched.
