Microsoft Surface Pro 4 news and specs: Release date next month?
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was certainly a hit. The powerful machine has been praised for its high-performing capabilities, so it's no surprise that many look forward to what the next-generation Surface Pro would look like and what it can offer.
Many are hoping that the Surface Pro 4 will be released this month, especially with a Microsoft event set on Sept. 24. However, much to gadget lovers' disappointment, the event is apparently for the Microsoft Office 365, thus leaving many to wonder if the Pro 4 will even be launched this year. Doubts started to dissipate, though, during the recent price drop of the current models, which is a sign that stocks are being disposed of to make way for newer models arriving soon.
According to Geeksnack, the rumored specs of the Surface Pro 4 include a 12 or 14-inch display with QHD resolution display. Furthermore, there won't be too much change in its physical design, as it is said to maintain the premium metal chassis, TypeCover keyboard, and stylus, which are its main accessories. For Surface Pro 3 owners who wish to purchase the Pro 4, they will have the advantage of spending less as they can use the same accessories of their older model, which is a relief considering that the chassis, keyboard, and stylus are all sold separately. Speaking of stylus, the newly launched one will have a better sensitivity and its own drawing pad, which is good news for artists looking into buying the new Surface Pro.

One of the most hoped for improvement is the battery life. Although the Surface Pro 3 has a pretty good battery life, it could still be improved and hopefully be offered in the next-generation Surface Pro.
For now, the next speculated launch date is Oct. 19; however, there is still no confirmation on this rumor, so techies all over the world will have to keep watch until official announcement is made.
