Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Rumors, Release Date Could Be Few Months Away, Will It Rival Rumored iPad Pro?
Since the start of the year, people have been hearing rumors about the upcoming laptop and tablet hybrid from Microsoft. Now that the company has just announced and rolled out the latest Windows 10 for multiple platforms, the unannounced slate makes it even more exciting. .
Unfortunately, there haven't been any official reports or announcements just yet regarding when the device will be unveiled.
However, a report from TechNewsToday revealed that the tablet may be released in late October or early November. In the report, Tom Warren of WinRumors reportedly tweeted that Surface Pro 3 fans would surely love the Surface Pro 4.
In a series of conversations with his followers, Warren sheds some light about what the Surface Pro 4 would be like. In some tweets, he claims that the Windows 10 device would not support Intel Core M chipsets. This gives the impression that the Redmond giant will certainly beef up the device in order to exceed expectations.
In addition, the upcoming slate/laptop would allegedly not get USB Type-C connectors, which is rather disappointing for fans who are expecting them. Other alleged specs of the device include several RAM options up to 16GB, a Skylake chip, several storage options going up to 1TB, better battery performance, and the inclusion of the Windows 10 platform.
Moreover, the device is said to be much thinner and lighter than its predecessors. Interestingly, some rumors point to a 14-inch and a 12-inch version of the slate by Microsoft. Considering today's trend of duo device announcements, this seems a possibility.
Microsoft had better prepare its next-gen Surface Pro 4 because rumors also claim that the iPad Pro by Apple would also be making its way to the market during the same period.
In a previous report, supplier chain sources claim that 12.9-inch screen panels are already being prepared for production, while mass production is rumored to be scheduled next month. According to these reports, Sharp has been in charge of this production.
Based on rumors, the iPad Pro should replace the position of the iPad Air lineup this year, as the latter is rumored not to get any updates this year. Some alleged specs of the biggest iPad yet include Retina display, Force Touch tech, 2GB of RAM, and the option to be converted into a laptop as well.
