Migrant Crisis News 2015: Greek Island Kos Sees Baby's Body on Its Shores as Hungary Talks of Closing Unofficial Borders with Croatia

While many migrants continue to pour from various towns and into states within the European Union, Greece has become one of the frontliners in terms of the number of refugees running into its borders.

Just a month after images of three-year-old Alan Kurdi shocked the entire world and forced Europe into deciding how it can help ease the pain of displaced Syrians and other people fleeing war and violence, a new report on Sunday stated that a very young child has been found dead.

While Alan Kurdi was found facedown on the shores of Turkey, the baby boy, estimated to be around 6 or 12 months old, washed up on the shores of Greece's Kos island. He was found wearing green trousers and a white T-shirt, according to ABC News.

The boy's decomposed body has since been brought to Kos General Hospital for an autopsy. Authorities who were assigned to the case believe the child was an asylum seeker who, just like Alan, traveled with his family through shabby dinghy boats in hopes of reaching Kos.

Previous reports revealed that though the Greek Coast Guard continues to help rescue refugees who start to drown when their dinghies sink, September has already listed at least 15 babies and children who have drowned due to the capsizing of overcrowded boats in the wake of high winds rising off the Aegean seas.

This year, more than 500,000 people have entered various countries in the European Union, with an estimated 310,000 coming through the way of Greece, in what is considered to be the biggest human movement in Europe since the great second World War.

Meanwhile, Euro News reported that Hungary is looking to close its unofficial borders with Croatia as a large number of asylum seekers continue to move toward the country, following Budapest's move to raise fences on its own borders with Serbia.

Hungary has already started to put up razor wires along the boundary with Croatia, but according to some reports, it is considering to close the main crossing points to keep migrants from pouring in until the European Union has settled with its issues on spreading the already huge number of immigrants on its territories.
