Miguel Cotto vs Canelo Alvarez Fight News: Bout to Be Presented Live in U.S. Big Screens in November

On Saturday, Nov. 21, at exactly 9 p.m. ET, the much-awaited bout between Puerto Rico's famed fighter Miguel Cotto and Mexican boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez will be presented live in select cinemas in the United States.

The highly anticipated fight between two of the biggest names in this generation's boxing ring is provided to fans by Fathom Events, Roc Nation Sports, and Golden Boy Promotions.

With Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez not set to put their boxing gloves on for some time, the battle between Cotto and Alvarez is deemed the most exciting and most-awaited battle of 2015.

Cotto is the reigning WBC, Ring Magazine, and Lineal Middleweight World Champion, and boasts of 40-4, 33 KOs record, while Alvarez, holds a 45-1-1, 32 KOs record, and is the former WBC and WBA Super Welterweight World Champion.

The bout will take place from the historic Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, and fans who won't make it to the big dome can always make a stop at various theaters where the battle will be streamed live.

According to Boxing News 24, Cotto said, "As I have always said, during my whole career, I am here to fight the best names and the best fighters. This will be another chapter in my career and I will be ready for him. Fans will enjoy a real fight, another classic battle in the Puerto Rico vs Mexico rivaly," referring to his highly anticipated next fight.

Alvarez also said, "It's going to be a great night." He added that he takes pride in what he does, most especially since his bout with Cotto will be added to the list of the historic ring battles that his country Puerto Rico is known for.

Golden Boy Promotions Chairman and CEO Oscar de la Hoya said tickets for the event are quickly being sold out since fans very well know of the long-running rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico, plus a lot of fans are looking forward to what the two decorated fighters will offer in the match.
