'Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates' Trailer Finally Releases

The trailer of 20th Century Fox's "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" is finally out and it has left the fans of Zac Efron and Adam DeVine wishing it were July 8 already. Based on the trailer, the movie will surely make "Meet the Parents" a walk in the park, according to E! News.

The movie highlights DeVine and Efron playing the roles of siblings Mike and Dave Stangle, respectively, who are hardcore party animals. In one of their family meetings, they are told by their dad, played by Stephen Root, that each of them needs to have a date for their sister's upcoming wedding, reminding the two that, in the past, they ruined family gatherings with their antics.

The mandate from their father serves as the jumping point of the story as the brothers don't have enough prospects. Upon Mike's suggestion, they place an online ad, which, eventually, catches the attention of a producer on the "The Wendy Williams Show."

This leads to the eventual guesting of the Stangle brothers on the show, which consequently captures the attention of Alice and Tatiana, played by Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, respectively. As the brothers make it clear that they want to meet nice girls, Alice and Tatiana decide to play good and be the "nice girls" that the Stangle brothers set as a requisite. For Alice and Tatiana, to be chosen by the Stangle brothers is their ticket to Hawaii, where the wedding of the Stangle daughter will be held.

The two girls then get the ball rolling for their plan, starting with a makeover to look nice and decent. Then, to catch the attention of Dave and Mike, Tatiana throws herself in front of a speeding car, knowing that the brothers are just in the vicinity and will surely see the staged accident. Apparently, she is right as Mike rushes to her after seeing the incident and asks her if she is okay. After answering that she is, Mike yells, "I saved her life!"

It goes without saying that the two "nice" girls will get what they want and the Stangle brothers will meet their match in them. And yes, they get to go to Hawaii for free, thanks to Dave and Mike.

However, the "nice girl" act doesn't really last for long as both Alice and Tatiana soon drop the mask. In the wedding, they embarrass Mike and Dave with their actions and behavior, prompting Mike to ask, "Who are these girls?"

Meanwhile, prior to the release of the movie trailer, Efron, DeVine, and Kendrick guested on James Corden's "The Late Late Show." There, they rehashed scenes from famous sports-inspired movies. According to MTV, if an MVP award was to be given based on the performances of the three stars, it would surely go to Efron for recreating the Wildcats cheer from his movie "The High School Musical."
