Miley Cyrus, Battery Suspect? Man Claims Singer 'Hit Him in the Face'

Miley Cyrus has been accused of battery following a heated confrontation that took place at a Hollywood nightclub early Sunday morning.

An unidentified man recently filed a police report claiming that the former Disney star assaulted him during a heated exchange which allegedly involved her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, according to reports.

Cyrus, 19, was allegedly at Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel with Hemsworth, 22, and at approximately 1:15 a.m., the alleged victim and his friends accidentally bumped into the "Hunger Games" actor.

The incident sparked a confrontation between both parties, which reportedly escalated, and Cyrus allegedly "pushed" the victim and "hit him in the face," according to GossipCop.com.

In conjunction with police statements that there were no visible injuries, the nightclub, Jeff Beacher, reportedly told GossipCop that "nothing happened" and even accused the alleged victim of "making up a story."

Cyrus has not publicly responded to the police report, but some critics fear that the incident is part of a series of troubling behavior that the singer has displayed recently.

In the past few months Cyrus has lost a substantial amount of weight, changed her hairstyles repeatedly, inked her tenth tattoo, been accused of frequently cutting her wrists, and unexpectedly announced her engagement to Liam Hemsworth. Los Angeles-based psychologist Dr. Seth Meyers believes that the strange behavior pattern is a cry for "attention."

"Miley Cyrus seems stuck in a set of compulsive behaviors that cry out for attention. [Her] parade of unusual and provocative behavior recently reminds me of Britney Spears' downward spiral in the past," Meyers told RadarOnline.com.

"The apparent recent marks on her wrist, the drastic haircut, and an undeniably fledgling career suggest to me that Miley is overwhelmed with anxiety, feeling lost and uncertain about her future. Her loved ones should keep a close eye on her in case her impulsive behavior continues and gets worse, potentially putting her at risk of self-harm," Meyers said.
