Miley Cyrus 'Beyond Blessed' and Proud of Woman She's Become

Singer-actress Miley Cyrus has been criticized for some outlandish behavior recently, but the 21-year-old said in a new interview that she is proud of the young woman she's become and described herself as "beyond blessed." Cyrus also described the enjoyment of living in the moment rather than being anxious about everything.

"I've always had a lot of anxiety. I've dropped that completely and really started living in the moment and not thinking about anything too much – really practicing what I preach when I say not to worry what other people think and be who you are to the fullest. I'm proud of the person I've become. Not what people think I've turned myself into, but who I've actually become, which is a happier person. It would obviously be hard to not be happy to be me right now," Cyrus told Entertainment Weekly.

Cyrus' latest performance at the American Music Awards raised eyebrows again, much like her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. However, she has taken comfort in the support of family and friends who explain that she is just growing up and making a name and brand for herself. Cyrus is pleased with the results and said that she is "beyond blessed" thanks to the success of her latest album, "Bangerz."

It's "the best feeling in the world," she explained. "I'm proud of knowing that's what I encourage other girls to do. I said 2013 was going to be the best year of my life, and I think what you put out into the universe you get back. I proved that to myself this year."

Cyrus is single again after breaking the engagement with actor Liam Hemsworth. She begins her next North American tour in Los Angeles on Friday, Dec. 6, and fans will be waiting to see what she has in store.
