Miley Cyrus Got Revenge After Liam Hemsworth Split?

Miley Cyrus reportedly tried to get revenge after seeing Liam Hemsworth with another woman, as reports claim the singer played a bizarre prank on the Australian actor.

In September reps for Cyrus, 20 and Hemsworth, 23, confirmed that the pair had called off their engagement in the wake of split reports. Within days the "Hunger Games" actor was photographed kissing Mexican singer-actress Eiza Gonzalez and Cyrus reportedly sought revenge by giving out his phone number to strangers at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 21, according to reports.

"[Miley was] p----- off!" a source told The Mirror U.K. before defending Hemsworth. "He's not a playboy, but he's going to go out and have fun."

The former Disney star took to the stage before a large crowd at the festival to perform a number of songs including her new single, "Wrecking Ball" and fans were stunned to see her break down in between sets. The singer, who began dating Hemsworth in 2010, is reportedly crushed that the actor moved on with Eiza so soon after their split.

"It's very hurtful that Liam's just moved on and isn't even trying to hide it. Miley's putting up a good front and trying to play it off like she doesn't care but she's really f'ed up over this," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"It's even more insulting because he's been on this soapbox about keeping things private, that's why they never had pictures taken," the source continued. "Now he's breaking his own rules. If he's trying to hurt her it's working, but it's also making him look like a hypocrite."

While Cyrus is reportedly devastated over Hemsworth and Eiza, 22, reports claim she actually wanted to leave the actor long before their recent split. The former "Hannah Montana" star revealed that her new song "Drive" was inspired by her desire to leave the Australian actor in February after reports linking him to actress January Jones surfaced.

"I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day -- emotionally it was such a hard time," Cyrus told Fashion magazine.

"It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship," she continued. "It's a time when you want to leave but you can't. It's also about moving on."
