Miley Cyrus, TIME Person of the Year?
Miley Cyrus may be the most influential person of the year, according to those who voted her as such in a TIME magazine online poll.
Each year, TIME highlights their choice of Person of the Year, who has influenced events whether it be by positive or negative means. Although an editorial board will end up picking who that person is for 2013, online readers have the opportunity to vote for their choice until Dec 4.
While the voting is still going on, she is currently leading in the poll ahead of the Pope, President Barack Obama and Indian politician Narendra Modi. However, one online hacker group is claiming to have rigged the polls, according to Entertainment Weekly reports.

Since voters are prompted to log in to a social media account before participating in the poll, it remains to be seen whether there is any merit to the hackers' claims. Still, it seems Cyrus has been popular this year.
After releasing her chart topping album "Bangerz" amid controversial MTV VMA and EMA performances, Cyrus was named one of Entertainment Weekly's Entertainers of the Year. The singer's mentor and fellow musician Pharrell Williams, previously spoke about just how amazing Cyrus is.
"I'll tell you what right now: She is a force, and no one knows it, and I'm so happy for her. This is a girl who has been fighting for a very long time and loyal to the brand that gave her her start," he told EW last January. "But she had to break out of not only that realm but also the glass image that she felt everybody was keeping her encased in. She's going from beautiful caterpillar to giant butterfly with vigor."
More than just her controversy, Williams spoke about Cyrus' talents.
"Her vocal ability is far beyond what anyone thinks. She is very knowledgeable-she can quote the last Wacka Flocka song, and she can tell you when Dolly Parton released 'Jolene,'" Williams said. "She is nothing short of a phenomenon. To see her go is amazing to watch. She's not afraid of anything."
