Mindy Kaling Celebrates Nora Ephron-Themed Party a Week After Giving Birth

Mindy Kaling recently celebrated a holiday party for the women in her office.

A week after giving birth to her first child, Kaling hosted a Nora Ephron-themed dinner for her female colleagues. The actress usually organizes the holiday party for her friends but since she had just welcomed her baby, it was decided to bring the party to her home.

Based on an Instagram post, they had a three-course dinner inspired by iconic romcoms "You've Got Mail" and "When Harry Met Sally." The menu included dishes with creative names such as "Pie a la Sally," "High Maintenance Truffle Cauliflower soup" and "Fox Books el Sprouts with Dates and Haloumi."

"I usually do a holiday dinner with the young women that work with me but I've had a busy week! So they brought the holiday dinner to me," Kaling wrote in the caption. "It's a You've Got Mail Norah Ephron-themed holiday dinner, cooked and orchestrated by @asekar95 and @yo_its_hmo and it's happening TONIGHT at my house."

As previously reported, "The Office" alum welcomed her first baby — a girl named Katherine Swati Kaling — on Friday, Dec. 15. Kaling is notorious for being private about her personal life, so she still has not posted photos of her firstborn on social media.

She has not revealed the identity of her baby's father and she is not romantically linked to anyone at the moment. The "Ocean's 8" star did, however, reveal to "Today" show host Willie Geist in August that she is looking to her late mother for parenting inspiration.

News of Kaling's pregnancy first broke in July. It was later confirmed by none other than Oprah Winfrey, who was then working with Kaling for the film "A Wrinkle in Time." In October, Kaling announced that she is expecting a baby girl.
