Mindy McCready Funeral: 200 Mourners Pay Tribute to Country Singer
Mindy McCready's funeral took place Tuesday as the country music star was remembered by her family and friends.
As McCready's own music played in the background the singer was remembered for being a fun and talented woman, who they said "wanted to be healed" from her past.
The funeral saw about 200 people gather at the singer's Florida hometown of Fort Myers, at the Crossroads Baptist Church.

McCready's mother, Gayle Inge, told the mourners, "Our Mindy was so tired. She felt helpless. She was in her darkest moment and she was hurt by so many allegations. She was too emotional to understand."
McCready committed suicide at her home in Arkansas on Feb. 17 at the age of just 37. The suicide came just days following her court ordered substance abuse program. She died by a single gunshot wound to the head.
Her death also came just a month after her longtime boyfriend, David Wilson, also died in another apparent suicide. His death also took place at the same location as McCready's.
McCready's mom told mourners, "Her spirit found healing on the other side."
Reports in the wake of her death revealed rumors that the singer feared losing her sons in the days leading up to her apparent suicide.
McCready was described as having "lost all hope" in the days leading to her tragic death. According to her private investigator friend Danno Hanks: "The most important thing are my babies must come home. She lost all hope," according to People Magazine.
The star had two sons, 6 year old Zander, and 10 month old Zayne. It has been reported that McCready had recently gone onto rehab under a court order, and feared that she would lose her children.
Reports have also described that the star had previously been caught up in a custody battle with Billy McKnight over their youngest son, but this time she feared she would not come out of everything with her children by her side.
According to People magazine, the country singer was rumored to have been worried about a custody battle to keep her two boys from her estranged mother.
McKnight, meanwhile, has gone on the Today Show following McCready's death, and has spoken to the show about his 6 year old son Zander: "He has had a rough first six years. He deserves better than this and my heart is broken for him right now. I'm very worried."
