'Minecraft: Pocket Edition' Overworld Update Lands This Month
"Minecraft: Pocket Edition" is getting an Overworld Update for its version 0.14 later in February to fix bugs and introduce new features to the game.
On Wednesday, Microsoft announced that the "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" Overworld Update will be rolled out across all operating systems. In addition, the tech giant shared a few details on the update, according to MobiPicker.

In a statement, Microsoft enumerated the things that gamers can expect from the "Minecraft" Overworld Update that will arrive by the end of this month. The schedule is in line with developer Jeb Bergensten's statement last year about a major update coming in 2016 to bring bug fixes.
First of all, the update will bring more advanced mechanical contraptions including trapped chests, hoppers, repeaters, dispensers, comparators, droppers, and various types of minecart. It will also introduce witch huts, which have interesting new features such as cauldrons filled with potion, Tech Times reports.
The upcoming update will also let gamers use cauldrons to dye their armor with several colors. Plus, it will enable them to display their loots using item frames. These frames can also be used for displaying maps for their ventures, the report details.
Moreover, gamers will be able to import and export their maps to show their adventures to their friends. There will be other new components including red sandstone, enhanced chicken jockey mobs, wearable pumpkins, and slime blocks, the report relays.
Lastly, the update will bring eight new achievements and the ability to gain 170 more gamescore. The new achievements include Tie Dye Outfit, Camouflage, Map Room, Dispense with This, Smelt Everything, Trampoline Bounce, Taste of Your Own Medicine, and Freight Station.
All in all, the "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" Overworld Update appears to be big enough to spark the interest of gamers even more. With Windows 10 Mobile scheduled to be rolled out soon, the game is expected to gain more users once the operating system is available on shelves.
