'Minecraft: Story Mode' Release Date, News: Jesse Goes to Prison in Season 2 Episode 3 Trailer

Telltale Games has recently launched the trailer for the upcoming third episode of "Minecraft: Story Mode" season 2 where Jesse is seen trapped in prison.

In "Minecraft: Story Mode," players can choose to play either as the male or female version of Jesse, who is voiced by Patton Oswalt and Catherine Taber, respectively. The game objectives are patterned on every episode's plot that follows the adventures of Jesse and his/her crew.

The upcoming episode is titled "Jailhouse Block," which immediately hints that the main objective would be helping Jesse escape prison.

In the recently released trailer, developers let players peek into the new location called the Sunshine Institute. The video teaser opened by showing the female version of Jesse falling into a dark, gloomy place that turns out to be a seemingly endless maze with guards flying all over it, as shown in the official trailer.

The Warden then welcomed Jessie and told the main character to hush after she called the institute "a prison." The Warden retaliated by telling Jesse: "Hey! No, no. We don't use the 'P' word here." He also explained to her that the Sunshine Institute was "a reformatory for people the Admin has found difficult."

Although Jesse has been successfully placed inside the Sunshine Institute, players are now tasked to guide her/him along with the rest of the crew to freedom as they continue saving humanity from the evil works of The Admin.

Meanwhile, the trailer for "Jailhouse Block" also showed Jesse with other characters. At one point, she was escaping bad-looking red cubes and soldiers while she tried to run away from them with old friend and ally Jack (Fred Tatasciore). Jesse's team will also face a horde of zombies while trying to escape.

On the other hand, the trailer also previewed a new character named "Prisoner X" who was described as "an infamous escape artist" by other inmates. There is a high possibility that Jesse will form a new alliance with him before eventually escaping prison.

"Jailhouse Block" will be released on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
