Reigning Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry dropped a whopping 46 points that night, along with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals, shooting 15 out of 25 from the field, through 37 minutes of playing time.

Forward Draymond Green also contributed big, scoring 23 points, along with 12 assists, eight rebounds and two steals, shooting 8 out of 10 from the field, through 35 minutes of playing time.

The second game of the season was more tightly contested, as Golden State won by a mere five-point margin with a final score of 109-104. Draymond Green stepped up big time, once again, scoring 24 points, along with nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals, shooting 10 out of 13 from the field, through 36 minutes of playing time.

Coming into the said contest, the Warriors will be attempting to beat the record set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls team that ended the season with a record of 72-10. And according to head coach Steve Kerr, who also happened to be a part of that said team, accomplishing such a feat would be a feather on their cap.

"It's incredible, it's never been done before. It just shows the consistency and the will, the competitiveness," Kerr said in an NBA.com report. "It's an amazing feat if we can pull it off through 82 games."

The Warriors currently hold a record of 69-8, while the Timberwolves banner a win-loss slate of 25-52.
