With a chance to go 3-1 in their series against one of the top teams in the West, the Minnesota Wild host the St. Louis Blues at Xcel Energy Center in Game 4 of their Stanley Cup playoff series. The match is on April 22, 2015 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
Minnesota surprised a lot of people with their Game 1 win over the Blues. In a match where people expected the Blues to dominate, Minnesota came out firing with an early goal from Jason Zucker. The Wild doubled their lead in the second period thanks to a slap shot by Matt Dumba in a power play. St. Louis tried to mount a comeback with Jaden Schwartz scoring early in the third period. However, for every goal that the Blues made, Minnesota had an answer and the match finished 4-2 to give the Wild a 1-0 series lead.
The Blues responded big in the second game as Vladimir Tarasenko scored two goals in a span of five minutes in the first period to but the Blues up 2-0 in the game. Minnesota would fire one back in the third period but St. Louis kept their composure and the night was capped off with a Tarasenko hat trick to level the series 1-1.

The series then moved to Minnesota where the Wild made the most of their advantage of playing at home.
After a slow start to the game, things picked up in the second period when the Wild scored two goals in only two minutes to get the lead. Minnesota would continue to put the pressure and their defense held up against St. Louis as they ended the game win a 3-0 win and a 2-1 series advantage.
A big win at home will give Minnesota enough leverage to move on to the next round, while a win for St. Louis will put things back to a level playing field and a best of three series.
