'Mission Impossible 6' News, Update: Film Franchise Star Dishes Updates On New Title

Actor Tom Cruise couldn't make it to Paramount Pictures' presentation during the CinemaCon 2016. He instead appeared in front of the audience via a taped video message where he introduced his upcoming film "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" and to provide updates on the highly anticipated sequel to 2015's hit action movie, "Mission: Impossible – Rouge Nation," the still to be untitled "M:I 6."

As detailed over at Variety.com, the 53-year-old action star is currently in London for the production of one of his projects. He first confirmed to everyone in the clip that his super spy character, Ethan Hunt, will definitely be back for more "global espionage and gravity-defying world saving," according to the media outlet.

Per the usual, Hunt and IMF's mission details will be different but the writers will stick to the tested and proved formula. In his statement, the "Edge of Tomorrow" said that there will be more "incredible set pieces…stunts..and what I think is a very entertaining and compelling story."
