'Mob Wives' Renee Graziano Enters Rehab to 'Improve Health'
"Mob Wives" star Renee Graziano has entered a 30-day rehabilitation facility following a whirlwind of events that occurred over the past 12 months.
The 42-year-old reality TV star was admitted to Transitions on Monday, which is said to be a Miami-based treatment facility that specializes in drugs and alcohol rehabilitation, according to The New York Post.
"Although Renee Graziano has been admitted to a rehabilitation center, it is not for any current drug or alcohol use of any kind. Her choice to enter rehab was made entirely on her own. She has made this decision for the betterment of her son AJ [Pagan]'s life, as well as to improve her physical, mental and spiritual health," a representative for Graziano told The Post.
It is unclear what exactly Graziano is being treated for, although it has been claimed that the Vh1 star has previously "had issues with pills," according to a source.
"[Graziano] has had issues with pills in the past but she was clean when she went in on Monday," the source reportedly told The Post.
In August, it was revealed that Graziano, who has admitted to undergoing several plastic surgery procedures, was slapped with a $77 million defamation lawsuit by a Manhattan plastic surgeon. He claimed the reality TV star ruined his career by badmouthing his service.
Her legal woes came just six months after she was hospitalized. She had learned that her ex-husband, Hector "Junior" Pagan, turned himself in for armed robbery before playing informant to help them arrest her father, Anthony "TG" Graziano, according to TMZ.
The reality star reportedly had trouble breathing and collapsed before she was eventually taken to the emergency room, where she received treatment following the family ordeal.
Mr. Graziano, 71, is said to be a highly respected mafia boss in the Bonanno crime family, and he was arrested and charged with extortion and racketeering following allegations that he tried to collect on a mob debt while in a halfway house.
Pagan, who fathered Graziano's son, has been labeled a "rat" by fans of the reality show for assisting the authorities with the raid. The results saw Mr. Graziano and dozens of other mob members arrested and remanded into custody.
Graziano is currently filming season three of "Mob Wives," and her admission into rehab will likely be infused as a plot line.
