'Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate' News, Update: Capcom Announces September DLC Packs With New Quests, New Armor Sets and More

Yet another reason to grab and fully charge that Nintendo 3DS as Capcom announced the new September downloadable content (DLC) for its hit action-adventure RPG, "Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate."

Citing the details from the official Nintendo website, the report from Latinospost.com said that this month's DLC offering is once again free for download for 3DS players of the aforementioned title.

Fans will certainly be surprised with the following freebies packed in the new content:

  • 12 New quests
  • 3 New Arena challenges
  • 1 New weapon
  • 1 New armor set
  • 1 New Palico equipment set
  • 1 Bonus Palico: Green Palico
  • 1 Guild Card background
  • 6 Guild Card titles

A promo video posted right over at YouTube (via LP) offered a brief glimpse of the new arena challenges which include "Challenge Quest 9," "Monster Fest 6," and "Challenge Quest 13."

Further revealed in the video are the quest titles for the September giveaway. Mentioned are "The Ultimate Gravios," "Fan Club: Desert Training," "An Unstoppable Rage," "Sacred Wind," "The Crimson Shah," "To Victory and Beyond," as well as the "Bombs Over Gogmazios" which is expected to pit players against A-class monsters. However, the effort is worth it. Upon completing the mission, they can get the ingredients to craft the coveted GX-Amatsu armor.

Accessing the contents is easy as it only requires gamers to connect their Nintendo 3DS to the Internet. Upon which they can now go to the in-game DLC menu where they can download the content listed for the current month.

In getting into the quests, players must go to the Event Quests and Challenge Quests sections in the Gathering Hall. G-Rank questers can go through the Elder Hall, while the G-Rank Challenge Quests can be found in the Assembly.

Nintendo has also confirmed that there will still be more additional free DLC coming for the game on the first Friday of every month for the next several months. This means the next content will arrive on October 2. Stay tuned for more updates.
