'Monster Hunter: World' News: Devs Introduce Some of the Fearsome Creatures Players can Encounter
Creature known as Nergigante billed as the 'deadliest foe yet'
It just would not be a proper "Monster Hunter" game if there were no gigantic beasts for players to slay. And fans do not need to worry, as it looks like "Monster Hunter: World" will feature more than its fair share of them.
Additional details about the game's monsters were revealed recently.
First off, fans can now see more of and also learn more about the creature known as Nergigante.
Nergigante was one of the creatures included in the trailer shared by the developers during the Tokyo Game Show.
As viewers may have observed, just the sight of Nergigante alone can leave anyone shaking in their boots.
Nergigante's body appeared to be covered all over in scales so thick and sharp that they almost looked like spikes. The creature also had horns protruding from the sides of its head. And just to round out the terrifying package, it is also capable of flight.
Developers have also described Nergigante as "Monster Hunter: World's" "deadliest foe yet."
Still, there appears to be something unique about the creature.
According to the developers, Nergigante is also a "puzzling monster" and one that has shown no care for what happens to its body, Gematsu reported.
There may be more to Nergigante than what has been revealed thus far, and players may just have to study this creature closer in the game.
Aside from Nergigante, developers also introduced fans to the Elder Dragon known as Zorah Magdaros. This creature is also believed to be heading to a specific location, though it is one currently unknown. Players need to approach Zorah Magdaros carefully as well, as it can be very dangerous, thanks in part to the volcano shell it features.
Nergigante and Zorah Magdaros are just two of the many beasts that can be encountered in "Monster Hunter: World," and players will be able to start tracking them down as soon as the game is released on Jan. 26.
