'Monster Hunter: World' News: Learn More About the Pukei-Pukei, One of the New Creatures Set To Be Introduced
The Pukei-Pukei resides in the Ancient Forest
"Monster Hunter: World" is going to feature its fair share of new creatures, and one of those is known as the Pukei-Pukei.
The Pukei-Pukei is an unusual-looking creature, but players should not let its appearance distract them.
As developers noted previously, the Pukei-Pukei is deadly mainly because all kinds of harmful toxins are contained within its body. What makes it even more difficult to deal with is that it is known to swallow objects, cover them with some poison and then spit them out in the direction of any would-be slayer.
Recently, YouTuber "Arekkz" revealed more information about the Pukei-Pukei in a new video.
In order to encounter a Pukei-Pukei, players must first make their way to the Ancient Forest.
Once players have found one, they will need to be very careful as it will be using those aforementioned poison-infused attacks a lot. The Pukei-Pukei does not even need to use objects to hit Hunters with poison as this creature can just spit that harmful liquid out.
Making the Pukei-Pukei encounter more difficult in "Monster Hunter: World" is the fact that this creature can become even more powerful once it enters Rage Mode.
As "Arekkz" noted, the enraged Pukei-Pukei looks quite different from its original form. On top of that, it also becomes more aggressive while it is angry, spitting poison all over the place and even using its long tongue to knock players down frequently.
Players are also going to have to pay close attention during their fight against a Pukei-Pukei since they will likely encounter this monster pretty early on in the game and may not be in possession of the best equipment just yet.
The good news for players is that there are also some elements in the Ancient Forest that they can use to help in their fight against a Pukei-Pukei such as poisonous plants and even other monsters.
Fans should be able to hear more about the new creatures set to be included in "Monster Hunter: World" in the near future.
