'Monster Hunter: World' News: Players Will Be Able to Preview Weapons and Armor

New training room will enable players to test weapons and even some moves

When "Monster Hunter: World" hits consoles next year, it is going to come packed with new features that can significantly change how players approach the game.

Among the most significant of these additions are features designed to help players prepare better for the battles ahead.

In a new video, "Arrekz" of the "Arrekz Gaming" YouTube channel revealed more about the training room and how it was exactly the type of facility that players were going to need if they want to get better at this game.

To start, "Arrekz" noted that the training room was ideal for testing out any weapon type, regardless of how simple or complex it may be. There are different items available in the training room that players can use for the purposes of gathering more information about weapons.

The available targets will enable players to gauge how much damage a specific weapon can dish out.

On top of that, developers also revealed previously that the targets available in the training room varied in terms of hardness, similar to how the monsters in the game also featured different types of exteriors, Siliconera reported.

Going back to "Arrekz," the YouTuber also revealed that there were elements in the training room that would allow "Monster Hunter: World" players to attempt special movements.

The training room even came with a barrel bomb that players can activate and attempt to withstand just to see how sturdy the pieces of armor they have equipped are.

Speaking of armor, it was also revealed that players will be able to try on individual pieces or entire sets before purchasing them just to see how they looked like. The same thing can be done with weapons too, which means players can now check out how well or how poorly specific items look on them without having to spend anything.

"Monster Hunter: World" is due out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 26 and for the PC sometime next year.
