Montreal Canadiens vs Ottawa Senators Live Stream: Watch NHL Playoffs Online
After extending the series and avoiding a sweep, the Ottawa Senators will try to get a win on the road when they face the Montreal Canadiens in the Game 5 of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. The match is on April 24, 2015 at 7 p.m. ET.
Montreal has dominated the series so far, winning the first three games and threatened to completely sweep the Senators off the playoff race.
In the first game, the Canadiens fired up in the second period after being down 1-0 after the first frame. They scored all of their four goals in the second to completely turn things around for a 4-3 win.
Their win in Game 2 was much tougher as the Senators were able to match them step for step as the match went to overtime. However, it only took less than four minutes for Alex Galchenyuk to find the winner to give the Montreal a 2-0 series lead after the 3-2 win.
Like the second game, the third was close even when the scene changed.
At the Canadian Tire Centre, Ottawa scored first for the third straight game but could not stop Dale Weise to find the equalizer in the last period. From there, the Canadiens started rolling in the overtime period as Weise completed the comeback with a goal in the 69th minute to get the 2-1 win and got 3-0 in the series. With the season on the line, the Senators finally notched an important win at home as they beat the Canadiens 1-0 at home.
Both teams were firing blanks in the first two periods to set an intense third period. Ottawa finally broke the Montreal defense in the 50th minute with a goal from Mike Hoffman to win and send their fans home happy.
Needing three straight victories to complete the turnaround, the Senators must win at the Bell Centre in front of hostile fans.
