Montreal Canadiens vs Tampa Bay Lightning Live Stream, Start Time: Watch NHL Playoffs 2015 Online
Tampa Bay escaped with a double overtime victory to beat the Canadiens in the series opener.
Trying to get a 2-0 series advantage, the Tampa Bay Lightning play the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference match-up in the NHL Stanley Cup.
The match is on May 3, 2015 at 6:00 PM ET.
Both teams came off bruising matches in their first round of competition as the Canadiens faced the Ottawa Senators and defeated them 4-2 in the series.
Meanwhile, the Lightning had to use all of seven available games in the first round to eliminate a tough Detroit Red Wings team to win the series 4-3 and advance to this round.
Despite the obvious fatigue coming into their match against Montreal, and the fact that their first game was played away from home, the Lightning surged towards a 2-1 overtime win to take the series opener.
Neither team were able to score in the first two periods of the game as they both started with nerves and were busy trying to measure their opponents.
The scoring picked up in the third period as Tyler Johnon scored within three minutes of the final period to give Tampa Bay a slim lead.
Things looked like it was going to be over in regulation time but the Canadiens finally found their equalizer with only less than six minutes remaining in the contest behind Max Pacioretty's goal.
With no one getting another goal within the regulation, the game headed into overtime with one goal needed from either team to get the victory. It was again a stalemate after the fourth period and Nikita Kucherov got the winner in 2:06 of the second overtime to escape with an away win and a 1-0 series lead.
Now the Canadiens will need to bounce back in the second game to prevent finding themselves deep in a hole down 2-0 and heading to Tampa Bay for the third game.
