'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 2: DLC's Absence in PC Blamed on NetherRealm?

After months of hype, PC gamers were disappointed to know that the "Mortal Kombat X" DLC Kombat Pack 2 will not be available on their platform. A recent update now suggests a blame game is ongoing between developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros.

The "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 is certain to release on Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One, but the DLC's release date for the PC version of the game remained vague. Fans sought clarification and took to forums to air their complaints.

In one of these forums, TestYourMight.com, a NetherRealm staff has confirmed: "Mortal Kombat XL and Kombat Pack 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only." This didn't sit well with fans, obviously.

In an effort to air their grievances and perhaps to sway those behind the fighting game to change their minds, one fan sent a message to Warner Bros. Games Technical Support. The "Mortal Kombat X" fan received the following response:

"We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the decision taken by the developer of the game MKX. We advise that you should post any responses on the particular forums where the official announcement is [link]. NetherRealm are keeping an eye [on] these forums, so it is the best way for the affected gamers to be heard."

Redditors were quick to point out that Warner Bros. seems to be blaming NetherRealm over the whole PC controversy that's plaguing the game at the moment. As for the studio, it has remained quiet amid the issue.

As of this point, neither "Mortal Kombat X's" developer nor publisher has revealed the reason for the Kombat Pack 2's absence in the PC. Design and Trend, however, notes that this could be due to past difficulties both have previously faced on Steam.
