'Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2' news, release date: Will Sektor and Alien be in the 'Kombat Pack 2?'

Ever since the announcement of a second downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Mortal Kombat," game lovers out there have instantly expressed their excitement. The DLC has no official name yet from Warner Bros. and NetherRealm but is currently called "Kombat Pack 2." This was drawn from a publication of recent posters for the game that have "KP2" in the title. As of now, what fans are looking forward to the most is the rumor that some familiar characters will be part of it.

Ed Boon, director, teased that Pack 2 will be showing four playable characters. However, he hasn't revealed who these characters are yet, but some fans are drawing conclusion from his hints and posts. In a still that he shared on Twitter, it showed that Sektor and Alien are two possible characters that may be featured. According to Neurogadget, the photos are a little distorted but it seems like it was taken from the Universal Pictures' film "Straight Outta Compton," which more likely inspired the new posters for Sektor and Alien that have the label "Straight Outta KP2."

Another character that has been mentioned to probably join would be Baraka. This assumption was made due to a silhouette image circulating the gaming community now. Baraka originally isn't a playable character in the game; however, due to some gamers jailbreaking Baraka to play him, NetherRealm might have considered in officially making him a major character.

There are a lot of characters that could be part of Kombat Part 2, but there has not been any confirmation on who they are. It is a possibility that NetherRealm could be having a difficult time picking only four to include in the upcoming DLC, as the new characters should not only be an addition in name but should also enhance the current gaming experience for players.

Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2 will be available in 2016, but there isn't a set date as of now. As for the current game, it is available for PS4, Xbox One, mobile devices, and PC.
