'Mortal Kombat XL' News and Updates: Kombat Packs to Bring New Characters and Features to PC Gamers; Details and Pricing Revealed
For so long, it had felt like "Mortal Kombat X" had been focused on the gaming console platforms too much, leaving out PC gamers. However, an extra-large version of the game is actually on its way to the PC.

For so long, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm, the publisher and developer behind "Mortal Kombat X" respectively, have been focusing on the gaming platform version of the game. However, they are actually working on "Mortal Kombat XL," which is geared toward the PC platform.
The Extra Large version of the game had already been released, making the PC platform somewhat up to par with its console counterparts. However, Kombat Packs for "Mortal Kombat XL" are still underway, but are assured to be coming to the port anytime soon.
Kombat Pack Details
According to some reports, the publisher and developers have already begun testing the PC versions of the Kombat Packs for "Mortal Kombat XL." The updates will certainly make the fans delighted, as they aim to make the PC port relevant to the gaming arena once again. The "Mortal Kombat XL" patch is predicted to have a huge file size of 23GB for the two Kombat Packs.
The Kombat Pack 1 for "Mortal Kombat XL" will be including a lot of stability updates, performance improvements, bug fixes, and the new netcode for multiplayer mode. It will also be featuring Tanya, a character from "Mortal Kombat 4." There would also be the new character named Tremor, as well as the horror movie characters Jason Voorhees from the "Friday the 13th" franchise and the Predator.
Aside from additional characters, Kombat Pack 1 would also be bringing new bonuses to "Mortal Kombat XL." It will include the Medieval Skin Pack and the Pit environment.
The Kombat Pack 2 will then be bringing four new characters to the "Mortal Kombat XL." However, this is a more expensive expansion pack that players have to buy separately. The expansion would reintroduce Triborg from the "Mortal Kombat 3" cybernetic combatants. It will also be featuring Bo'Rai Cho from "Mortal Kombat 5." Horror movie characters Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and the Xenomorph from "Aliens" would also be added to the game.
Availability and Price
"Mortal Kombat XL" had already been announced to be available on Steam. There has been a report saying that the game was fast-tracked by the publisher and congregated all the new characters, skins, and other extra content in the expansion updates to be put in an all-encompassing "Kombat Pack DLC."
Right now, "Mortal Kombat XL" retails for $39.99. however, owners of the "Mortal Kombat X" who want to avail the Kombat Packs 1 and 2 separately can buy them for $5 and $10, respectively.
