Mother's Post Becomes Viral After Three-Year-Old Daughter's Thumb Gets Amputated
Day care owners said to be negligent after three year old girl gets her thumb amputated
A mother's irate post became viral after complaining about a day care center that caused damages to her three year old daughter.
Recent reports via Indian Express indicate that a mother of a three year old girl posted a statement regarding the negligence of a day care center in Gurgaon. The mother, Shivani Sharma, explained that she dropped off her daughter at a day care center last Apr. 28. However, after thirty minutes of dropping her kid off, she received a call from the teacher stating that there was an emergency regarding her daughter.
Sharma then found out that her daughter had injured her thumb, which was in dire condition. According to those watching her daughter, another child pushed the door close while her daughter's finger was still inside.
The doctors at the hospital told her that her daughter's thumb needed to be amputated since the top half of her thumb was crushed and torn apart. This means that her daughter will no longer have a full thumb, but a round cut finger instead.
In Sharma's Facebook post, which reached more than 10, 000 shares, Sharma explained that the owner of the daycare approached her and apologized for the incident. He then promised to pay for the medical expenses since the incident happened on their watch.
However, the owner never spoke to Sharma after that, despite the promise he made regarding the hospital bills. Sharma stated, "But since then, we have not… heard back from them. When I asked… to come to Medanta to pay for my daughter's second surgery, she started making all kinds of excuses, like she has her school to take care of…"
She recently posted that they were then threatened by the couple, when they were able to reach them last May 6. She said, "When we called them her husband threatened us by saying that don't come to our house and we can do anything and contact police. These people are so heartless and professional that they are not even scared of god, Law and society."/
