'Moto X Force/Moto Bounce' specs and images leaked
The specs and images of a new Motorola smartphone have been leaked. These specs and images are purportedly of 'Moto X Force' or 'Moto Bounce' that will be launched in December this year.
Motorola added three smartphones to the market, namely the Moto G (3rd- gen), Moto X Play and Moto X Style. Then there were speculations as to which of the three would Motorola release in the US under the DROID series with Verizon. Now to add more confusion, the new Motorola images were said to be of 'Moto Bounce'. Then it was renamed 'Moto X Force'.
According to another report, the Moto Bounce will launch in the US as the DROID Turbo 2.
The Moto X Force / Bounce is to be a high-end smartphone with a "shatterproof" display, hence the names 'Force' and 'Bounce' tagged to "Moto."
The leaked specs are as follows:
Display: a 5.4-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). This will give a higher ppi density as compared with the 5.7-inch Quad HD screen of the Moto X Style / X Pure Edition.
Inside: powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB of storage.
Camera: a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera, a 21 MP rear camera.
Battery: quite large at 3760 mAh.
While it may have a "shatterproof" display, the disappointing news is that Moto X Force will not have a fingerprint scanner.
The latest in smartphones are devices using a fingerprint scanner to gain access to the smartphone instead of the tedious password system. It is also great for online purchases. The reason for keeping out the fingerprint scanner is not clear as users buying the Moto X Force three months from now on will fully expect the smartphone to come equipped with it.
There are no details of the pricing but we can expect the Moto X Force to have the Android Marshmallow preloaded with it.
