Motorola Droid Turbo Review: New Colored Versions Coming to Verizon
Even after the launch of the current flagships from Samsung, HTC, Sony, Asus, LG, Xiaomi and other brands, the Motorola Droid Turbo remains as one of the best smartphones today.
While the device is only available in Verizon in the U.S., and in very limited quantities in other countries and other a different brand name, there are still people who would prefer buying the device instead of the newer releases in the market.
Currently, the Motorola Droid Turbo only costs $499.99 off-contract, or subscribers may even get the device via the Edge plan, with 24 monthly payments of $20.83.
Now, according to a report by GSM Arena, both Motorola and Verizon have agreed to provide new colored versions for the Droid Turbo.
In the report, while the base case for the device will retain its Gray Ballistic Nylon case, its metallic highlights will come in three new colors – Metallic Blue, Metallic Orange, or Metallic Violet.
For interested Verizon subscribers who need a refresher, the Motorola Droid Turbo packs a 5.2-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 805 chipset, 21MP primary camera, 2MP front shooter, and a massive 3,900mAh battery.
Unfortunately, the device is still in Android 4.4 Kit Kat, though there are reports claiming that the Droid Turbo will go straight to Android 5.1 Lollipop.
