Motorola Moto G (2016) Rumors: Variants Include Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus

Lenovo-owned Motorola has something new for its fans this year. According to report by PC Advisor, the next devices will be a follow up to the Moto G 2015. But it seems like there isn't going to be just one model as another variant is rumored to be coming along, which means there's going to be two Moto G's this year and reports say they are dubbed as the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

GSM Arena detailed that serial tipster Evan Blass of @evleaks had already leaked online the alleged Moto G4 Plus. It doesn't give much though as it only showed an image of the bottom portion of the front-panel. It suggests that the device will be sporting a physical home button and rounded edges. However, other sources pointed out that the speculated home button may be the fingerprint scanner.

There's a high potential as it has been revealed before by an executive from Lenovo that the 2016 Moto line-up will be incorporated with the fingerprint sensor. Phone Dog reported that if the leaked information is true, it means that the upcoming Moto G handsets will be coming with a change in design, a different one from Moto G and Moto X Pure Edition.

Digital Trends also reported that some specs for the device has been leaked already care of Twitter user Roland Quandt. According to him, both the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will sport a large 5.5-inch screen. The former will carry a 13-megapixel rear camera while the latter will get a 16-megapixel primary camera. Both variants will be available in black and white colors.

The price for the devices has been mentioned as well. The Moto G is rumored to cost around $270 while the Plus variant may be priced around $315. It is still to be known if the Moto Maker will be available for the devices just like the Moto G 2015. As of now, none is official yet so it's best to take reports with a grain of salt.
