'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Spoilers: Creator Reveals Plot Details

With the next season of "Mr. Robot" currently in the works, the creator of the series was able to share some details about the plot of season 2.

It was reported that Sam Esmail, the creator of the new series titled "Mr. Robot," revealed some spoilers for its sophomore season. The first season of the series was a success, which has set high expectations for the new season.

Esmail revealed that the writers of the series have been toying with the idea of Elliot, played by Rami Malek, dealing with the infamous drug lord. After the death of his girlfriend Shayla, played by Frankie Shaw, there is a chance that Elliot will be forced to confront Fernando Vera, played by Elliot Villar, to avenge the death of Shayla.
Another special teaser revealed by Esmail was that Mr. Robot, played by Christian Slater, will be present in the second season. However, his return will come with a twist. While Mr. Robot is just a figment of Elliot's imagination, Esmail revealed that Mr. Robot will have the chance to talk to other people in Elliot's life.

However, Esmail stated that not everything is written in stone and that they are still considering other possibilities for the plot. According to Screen Rant, he did explain what his vision was for the series. He stated, "It was our intention to make this [a] show of today…that was incredibly important to us. I always say it is almost like we are making a period piece on modern society so that was all intentional, that was embedded in the writing of every script."

Meanwhile, Malek was able to share some sentiments about his newfound fame with LA Times. He said, "If you'd told me that would be the case a year ago, I would have laughed, This show reaches people on a global scale, people who feel disenfranchised and trapped in a system with the deck stacked against them."

"Mr. Robot" season 2 is expected to premiere in 2016.
