'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Episode 2 Spoilers: Darlene Struggles with Paranoia

Darlene (Carly Chaikin) has reasons to be afraid in the upcoming episode of "Mr. Robot."

In the episode titled "eps3.1_undo.gz," the synopsis reveals that Elliot's (Rami Malek) sister will find herself in a complex situation. Darlene's paranoia has been steadily consuming her after a member of the Dark Army shot Elliot. She believes that the group will soon come after her, and this time around, they may go in for the kill.

The promo shows Darlene seemingly accusing Elliot of shutting her out. Later on, viewers get a glimpse of a man wearing a black hoodie slamming her against the wall. Darlene's scared voice can be heard saying, "It is you." Those who are discerning enough can see that she is talking to her brother. It is possible that Darlene will discover that Elliot and Edward (Christian Slater) are one and the same man.

Meanwhile, Elliot wants to correct his mistake and undo the damage he caused with the five/nine hack. As expected, Edward will try to stop him. In the trailer, Mr. Robot tells Elliot that he is trying to destroy him. After discovering that the second phase of the attack against E Corp is off and running, Elliot has no other thing in his mind other than to stop Edward from completing his plans.

As for Angela (Portia Doubleday), her real motives for joining the Dark Army are yet to be exposed. In an interview with Indie Wire, Doubleday said that the fans would soon understand what her character's dreams and aspirations are. She also teased that Angela's reasons for helping Edward would eventually be revealed.

"One of the things that I got worried about with Angela is that it's a very fine line in what she's doing in terms of a villain," Doubleday said. "I was worried she would become villainized as opposed to human, if that makes any sense. I didn't want her to be put in the slot of, 'Oh, she's the villain.' She's in a very compromising situation throughout the season, and you kind of find out a little bit more as to why she's doing these things."

"Mr. Robot" season 3 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
