'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Episode 3 Spoilers: Is Tyrell Still Loyal to Elliot?
Tyrell (Martin Wallstrom) is a time bomb waiting to explode in the upcoming episode of "Mr. Robot."
In the episode titled "Eps3.2legacy.so," the promo shows glimpses of an extremely agitated Tyrell. Last episode, his wife, Joanna (Stephanie Corneliussen), was killed. She was shot in the head by her lover Derek (Chris Conroy) in a fit of rage. Although Joanna and Tyrell had an unhealthy marriage, they still had each other's back. As such, many expect that Tyrell is probably teetering on the brink of madness. Coupled with his regret of hurting the only person he ever considered a friend, the former E Corp employee is one huge mess.
Writer-producer Kor Adana told the Hollywood Reporter that killing off Joanna was something that had to happen. Her death, he said, was a direct consequence of Tyrell's many mistakes. According to Adana, they debated long and hard about Joanna's storyline. Still, they knew she was a goner when she pushed Derek too far when she appeared on TV. Although the writers are aware of the many followers of Joanna and Tyrell, what happened to her would only lead to more exciting consequences. Now, fans will be curious to see if Tyrell will remain loyal to Elliot (Rami Malek).

"I know that all of the writers loved the dynamic between Joanna and Tyrell, so we were conflicted about writing ourselves into a place where we wouldn't have that anymore. Like I said earlier, we all believed in the cosmic justice of our world and that Tyrell had to suffer the consequences of certain choices he made, as do all of our characters. I believe that most of the disagreements were about when to do it and whether or not it would feel earned. We knew that Derek's reaction to what Joanna said on Frank Cody's show bought us an organic motivation for causing her harm," Adana explained.
Meanwhile, Elliot will continue to do his new day job working at E Corp. This is his way of stopping Edward (Christian Slater) and the Dark Army from succeeding in the second phase of the attack against the conglomerate. The spoilers reveal that the former interim CTO of E Corp will return. It remains to be seen how he and Elliot will react to each other once they meet.
