'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Spoilers: Darlene Fears She Is Next Target for Dark Army

Darlene (Carly Chaikin) is scared that she is the Dark Army's next target in the upcoming season of "Mr. Robot."

The new promo released for the new installment showed Darlene being clearly terrified for her safety following Elliot's (Rami Malek) shooting. According to her, the Dark Army has turned its back on them and she could be next on the hit list. It was previously teased that Chaikin's character will undergo a huge transformation in season 3. If she was portrayed as a fearless woman in the past, this time around, viewers will get to see her at her most vulnerable.

Elliot's condition is expected to be revealed in the first episode of the new installment. In last season's finale, he was shot by Tyrell (Martin Wallström) when he said he had no wish to be part of the second attack against E Corp. The trailer showed a crying Tyrell, and he is clearly distraught that he hurt Elliot, even though he was just following Edward's (Christian Slater) orders. Angela (Portia Doubleday) is there to comfort him and mentioned that he had no choice.

Angela also appears to be Elliot's guardian while he is unconscious. In the clip, he was shown waking up in a room and Angela was there to welcome him. It looks like he will learn of her betrayal pretty quickly in season 3.

Meanwhile, spoilers reveal that Elliot's court-appointed therapist, Krista (Gloria Reuben), will finally meet the enigmatic Mr. Robot. The two are expected to have a showdown as she tries to make him reveal his motives.

"The whole goal in the first half of the second season was to destroy and erase Mr. Robot," series creator Sam Esmail said in a sneak peek. "Again, in a weird way, I think it paralleled what he was trying to do with the Five-Nine hack. He was trying to ignore it and erase it and pretend that he wasn't responsible for it. Now that's all come to pass, so this third season has Elliot facing that challenging. If you can't annihilate the thing that's broken inside of you, how can you heal that wound? What can you do about that?"

"Mr. Robot" season 3 will air Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
