'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Spoilers: Is Tyrell Going Rogue Against the Dark Army?

Tyrell's (Martin Wallström) alliance with the Dark Army is as fragile as glass in the upcoming season of "Mr. Robot."

Fans of the series are looking forward to seeing more of the former E Corp employee in the new installment. Tyrell, following Edward's (Christian Slater) orders, shot Elliot (Rami Malek) in the chest when the latter refused to be part of the second phase of the attack against the conglomerate. The trailer for season 3 shows Tyrell on his knees, crying his heart out after fulfilling the deed, looking extremely unstable. Angela (Portia Doubleday) is revealed to be comforting him, but Tyrell appears too far gone to care.

Tyrell has always said that he loves Elliot above all. He joined the attack against his former company because he believed in the hacker's advocacy. Somehow, Edward managed to convince him that rendering Elliot helpless was the best course of action to avoid hitches in the plan. Tyrell may soon change his mind once Elliot gets a hold of him again. He may turn out to be the reason for the failure of the Dark Army's second attack, and Edward may have committed a huge mistake in trusting him.

Meanwhile, the new season will reveal what happened to Tyrell after he disappeared following the Five/Nine Hack, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Everyone thought he was dead, even Elliot. It came as a huge surprise when he turned out alive in the last finale, only to kidnap Elliot and hurt him.

Fans are looking forward to witnessing his reunion with his wife who searched for him for a long time. Joanna's (Stephanie Corneliussen) storyline is also one of the exciting side plots that are begging to be told. Viewers are also wondering if she was privy to Tyrell's plans before his disappearance.

"Mr. Robot" season 3 will air Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 10 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
