MSI Reveals the World's First Gaming Laptop, the GT80 Titan
Micro-Star International unveiled the world's first gaming laptop, which is the GT80 Titan.
The device weighs five kilograms and comes with high technology features that enable gamers to play video games online and offline. MSI GT80 Titan has two graphics processing unit, which makes the gaming experience excellent since there will be no performance issues.
The laptop comes with a quad-core Intel Core i7-4980HQ "Haswell" microprocessor and two GeForce GTX 980M 8GB in SLI mode. As for its memory, the device has 4GB of DDR3L memory or up to 32GB and 1TB hard disk drive with 7200 rpm for extended storage.
With the advanced internal system, the MSI GT8o also comes with hi-tech external features. The laptop has a Cherry MX Brown mechanical keyboard that is designed for comfort and efficiency. The keys also light up, which is conducive for playing in the dark. Other features are two-button trackpad, mechanical number pad and gold WASD keys.
As for the sound, gamers will not be disappointed to know that the MSI GT80 has a Dynaudio and Creative Sound Blaster Cinema audio system. This means that the audio system can produce a high quality sound that is needed for gaming. It also has durable speakers and amplifier chips that can be used to connect to other speakers that the player prefers.
If the gamer is concerned about the connection, the MSI GT80 has Killer DoubleShot Pro LAN and 802.11ac Wi-Fi support that can accommodate games despite Internet traffic. There are five USB 3-ports and an optical disc drive.
With all the advanced features of the MSI GT80, the 18.4-inch screen's resolution is considered not par to its system. The screen size limits the choices for the resolution and so MSI opted to use Samsung PLS panel full high definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The resolution is already great but it is not the best for gaming.
As expected, MSI GT80 is one of the most expensive laptops in the market today. The device is priced at $3299 and a $3499 model is available with a better Core i7-4940MX processor. Gamers can start purchasing the device when it is released in the market next week.
