MTV Video Music Awards: Beyonce Leads with 11 Nominations; Complete List, Artists and Highlights
The MTV Movie Video Awards happens each year and it always brings a lot of surprises. For 2016, the nominations have arrived and it is still sensational as ever.
Beyonce's Lemonade visual album has 11 nominations and is leading the pack this year. This is the most she got for a single album. Adele, on the other hand, earned eight nominations for the year's MTV VMA. Furthermore, there is a tight competition for this year's Video of the Year from Adele's "Hello,'' "Formation" by Beyonce, also for Drake's "Hotline Bling,'' "Sorry" by Justin Bieber and "Famous" by Kanye West.

Beyonce and Adele are joined by some famous female artists for the Best Female Video. Included in the list are, Sia on her "Cheap Thrills" video, "Into You" by Ariana Grande and Rihanna for her "Work" video.
For the Best Male Video the list includes Drake, West, and Bryson Tiller for their "Don't" video, "This Is What You Came For" by Calvin Harris, and The Weekend for the "Can't Feel My Face" video. Despite Justine Bieber's nod for Video of the Year, he has not been nominated this time.
More nominations are also listed for Best Collaboration are as follows, "Freedom" by Beyoncé ft. Kendrick Lamar and Fifth Harmony ft. Ty Dolla $ign for "Work From Home." The list also includes Ariana Grande ft. Lil Wayne for "Let Me Love You," "This Is What You Came For" by Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna and Rihanna ft. Drake for the short version of "Work."
These are a few of the categories that are included for this year's MTV VMA. Other categories include Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Pop Video, Best Rock Video and Best Electronic Video. Also included in the categories are Breakthrough long Form Video and Best New Artist.
To fall under the professional Categories are Best Art Direction, Best Choreography and Best Art Direction. Additionally, there are more categories included and these are, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Visual Effects.
Adele and Beyonce are top nominees
For this year's MTV VMA, Adele and Beyonce are on top of the list with more than five nominations each.
The show will air live at the Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can already vote for their favorites for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Female Video and the new Best Long Form Video category beginning this Tuesday at vma.mtv.com.
Voting for the Best New Artist will be on the VMAs pre-show, which will air at 8 p.m. ET. Starting August 15, 2016, fans can cast their votes on Facebook Messenger. The nominees for Best Song of Summer category will be at a later date and will be announced soon.
