'Naruto Shippuden' Episodes 499, 500 Spoilers: Iruka to Serve Important Role in Naruto–Hinata Wedding?
Six days to the wedding and Kakashi has finally figured out a way for all the significant persons in Naruto and Hinata's lives to be present at the wedding reception. And now that the grandest event in Konoha's recent history is drawing near, there is only one issue left that needs to be resolved: Iruka's congratulatory message to his most special student.
Since the Naruto–Hinata Wedding arc began on "Naruto Shippuden," Iruka has been agonizing over the proper words to say to Naruto to congratulate him on his wedding. And while his insights and occasional inputs have helped others decide the best gifts to give to the couple, his own words have failed to inspire the same kind of drive in him.
When Naruto was a boy whom nobody wanted to associate with, Iruka was the first to extend a friendly hand to him, took the cursed boy under his wings, and ultimately inspired him to be a ninja. But as the series progressed, Iruka came to gradually realize that he did not really know much about the kind of guy that Naruto has become, and he has only ever relied on what other people were saying about his former student.
In the 500th episode of the long-running anime titled "The Message," will Iruka finally be able to find his voice and his words to express not only his congratulatory message but also his gratitude for everything that Naruto's presence in his life has done to make him a better man?
In the light novel, "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding," which inspired much of the events in the ongoing arc, Naruto himself went to Iruka to ask him to attend the wedding as his father. Will this touching scene find its way in what is believed to be the final episode of "Naruto Shippuden"?
The much-anticipated Naruto–Hinata nuptials airs on Thursday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo.
