'Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' News and Updates: 'Road to Boruto' to Bring New Playable Characters and Features; Coming in 2017?
The "Naruto Shippuden" franchise has no doubt garnered a pretty huge following over its run, both in the manga and the anime. The newest video game iteration, "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4", was just released earlier this year and the publisher is already teasing for an expansion.
"Road to Boruto" Expansion
It is no secret that the well-received "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be getting an expansion pack. However, the "Road to Boruto" content is teased to be coming next year already. Fans are delighted to hear this news, seeing that it has been less than a year since the game was released.
Bandai Namco, the game publisher, has earlier announced the existence of the expansion pack. It will then add more playable characters and interesting features to "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4".
New Playable Characters
A report has stated that "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be seeing Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha. These two have been confirmed to be coming to the game via the "Road to Boruto" expansion. However, as exciting as the addition of these two characters might be, they are not really the highlight that fans have been anticipating.
Mitsuki, the daughter of Orochimaru, is also confirmed to be coming to "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4". Mitsuki's character has been confirmed after scans from a Japanese magazine has featured the character in action.
New Game Features
Aside from the exciting new characters, "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will also get new features thanks to the "Road to Boruto" expansion. There will be new story modes for Gaara and Shikamaru, with several characters joining them.
The characters of "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" are also seemingly getting brand new skills and abilities to their fighting arsenal. It has been shown that Boruto is using some kind of a technique, which combines the Rasengan with a lightning-style jutsu.
The expansion would also feature a new adventure mode that is based on "Boruto: Naruto the Movie". Fans have known that "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" has largely based its premise from the aforementioned movie. However, the "Road to Boruto" expansion would bring the end of Naruto's story.
The "Road to Boruto" is expected to be released on February 2017. Unfortunately, "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will not be a part of the season pass.
