'Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker' News: Gameplay Footage Shows What Multiplayer Matches Will Be Like

Upcoming game will feature 4-vs-4 multiplayer matches

"Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker" is looking to give fans a different kind of take on the series that places greater emphasis on multiplayer gameplay while also introducing some new elements.

First off, fans should know that multiplayer matches in this upcoming game are going to involve more characters showing up onscreen. Two teams made up of four players each will enter every match. The members of each side will then work together to complete specific goals over the course of a bout.

A new gameplay video included in a DualShockers article provides an early look at a multiplayer match, and it seems like one of the modes that players can select is a variant of the ubiquitous Capture the Flag offering.

Also in the video, players may notice something new about the way that Naruto, Sasuke and the other characters move around the map. Instead of just walking and running on the ground, they can now move vertically as well, enabling them to scale walls and facades and approach things differently. The inclusion of vertical elements in "Shinobi Striker" may even open up opportunities for players to surprise their enemies more often.

Players still need to exercise plenty of caution when they move around the map, as it looks like it is possible for them to fall and meet an untimely demise if they do not watch where they are going.

It should be noted that players will still be able to use the trademark moves of the many characters found in the series during a match.

Aside from the multiplayer offerings, this upcoming game is also going to allow players to create their own custom avatars who come with their own array of skills that they can use in battles.

Fans can check out the character creation tool set to be included in the game in the video embedded below.

An exact release date for "Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker" has not been announced just yet, though it is expected to arrive sometime next year.
