San Jose Sharks vs Nashville Predators Live Stream: Watch NHL Hockey Online
The San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators will meet at SAP Center at San Jose for their season decider in the National Hockey League. With the drop of the puck scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 12, 2015, both teams are looking to add more points as the regular season enters its final stretch.
The two teams have already met twice this season, with each getting a win over the other.
San Jose won 2-0 when they played as hosts, thanks to an early goal from Tomas Hertl. He fired a wrist shot inside the sixth minute of the match and the Sharks held their own as Nashville failed to find an equalizer. Joe Thornton eventually wrapped things up in the 59th minute to secure two points for the hosts.
Nashville was able to get their revenge in their next meeting when the game was at Bridgestone Arena. It looked like a similar game when San Jose scored inside the sixth minute with Matt Irwin converting, but this time Nashville had the answers. Two goals to end the first period followed by three within the first 11 minutes of the second period clinched the 5-1 victory, setting up this regular season series finale for the two teams.
San Jose has won three of their last four matches, with their most recent win a 2-1 penalty shootout win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at home.
Irwin is still unsure whether he will make it against Nashville after missing the game against Pittsburgh as he is still recovering from an upper body injury.
As for Nashville, they finally broke their six game losing streak with a 2-1 overtime win against the Arizona Coyotes. Despite their recent struggles, they still hold first place in the Central Division, holding a two-point lead over the St. Louis Blues.
The Predators will still be without Eric Nystrom who suffered a lower body injury early in the month. He is expected to return in April.
