'Nashville' Season 4 Episode 16 Spoilers: Juliette Turns Green On Layla; Maddie Runs Away From Home

Things are about to get more intense as the fourth season of ABC's country musical drama TV series "Nashville" returns this week with a brand new episode titled "Didn't Expect It To Go Down This Way."

Fans of the series have known that Juliette and Avery's relationship is still on the rocks and it seems like the upcoming episode will show how it will get even more torn by some unpleasant events. A promo clip shows Juliette soaked to the neck with the feeling of jealousy as Avery and Layla performs on stage together.

"I had to watch Avery and Layla grind on stage during sound check," Juliette said rather emphatically.

It should be noted that in the previous episode, the man opened up to Layla about his rocky situation with Juliette. Although it is yet to be known what the third party's real intention is, it would somehow be safe to assume that Layla could be using her friendship with Avery to hurt Juliette.

Apparently, the hour won't only focus on the three characters. The video also teased some trouble brewing up inside Rayna and Deacon's home. The former was shocked to find out that their daughter's room is empty while the window is open, giving the notion that Maddie could have run off. For those who missed it, Deacon grounded Maddie and prohibited her from playing music at a bar after that incident where she was touched by an audience. Deacon, enraged with the incident, confronted the man. It eventually resulted to a commotion and the whole family was forced to go home.

The Futon Critic, meanwhile, shared the whole synopsis of the episode and it reads:

"Rayna and Deacon are distraught when Maddie runs away from home, and Juliette is threatened by Avery's connection to Layla. Luke is forced to find a new artist when Riff disappears, and Autumn drives a wedge between Gunnar and Scarlett."
